Momentum Waisak ditengah Pandemi Covid-19 bagi Mahasiswa Buddhis Indonesia

Terpujilah Sang Bhagava yang maha suci yang telah mencapai penerangan sempurna.

Bulan purnama di bulan waisak.

Bulan purnama 6 Mei, di tahun 2020. Bisa dilihat sepanjang malam di seluruh dunia. Cahayanya terlihat terang dibanding malam malam sebelumnya. Bulan purnama ini merupakan malam dimana menyambut hari Tri Suci Waisak 2564 BE yang jatuh tepat pada tgl 7 mei 2020.

Tri Suci Waisak merupakan salah satu hari besar agama Buddha yang memperingati tiga peristiwa penting. Dimana bodhisattva Pangeran Sidharta lahir kedunia di Taman Lumbini, kedua Pertapa Gotama mencapai penerangan sempurna di Buddhagaya dan Buddha Maha parinibbana di Kusinara.

Memperingati Tri Suci Waisak merupakan hal yang ditunggu dengan sukacita oleh umat Buddha di seluruh dunia. Di Indonesia prosesi waisak biasanya digelar di Candi Buddha peninggalan sekitar abad 8-9 M yaitu candi Borobudur ,meskipun prosesi ini tidak hanya umat Buddha Indonesia tetapi juga dari mancanegara. Prosesi dimulai dengan puja sarana dan disusul dengan prosesi lainnya. Selanjutnya sebelum detik-detik waisak tiba umat melakukan meditasi bersama sampai dengan detik-detik waisak. Detik-detik waisak kali ini jatuh tepat pada pukul 17. 44. 51 WIB.

Tetapi untuk sementara waktu perayaan Tri Suci Waisak 2564 BE ini tidak dapat dilakukan seperti biasanya. Tri Suci Waisak kali ini berbeda, perayaan yang biasa di ikuti oleh ribuan umat Buddha secara bersama-sama di salah satu candi Buddha terbesar di Dunia  ini tidak bisa dilaksanakan. Sebab adanya peraturan pemerintah tentang menjaga jarak di tengah wabah pandemi covid-19.

Pandemi covid-19 mempengaruhi banyak sektor, salah satunya tidak di ijinkannya manusia untuk berkumpul, bergerombol secara besar. Secara positifnya jika kita melakukan perenungan kondisi ini membuat kita manusia menghargai waktu dan kebersamaan, dengan keluarga, saudara, sahabat, teman dan sesama manusia lainnya.

Dalam pesan dan renungan Waisak 2564 BE, saya berpesan kepada seluruh Mahasiswa Buddhis Indonesia dan seluruh umat Buddha Indonesia walapun ditengah kondisi pandemi covid-19, mari kita jadikan “Waisak sebagai Momentum Mewawas diri, Merawat Solidaritas, dan Toleransi untuk Kemajuan Negeri”.

Mewawas Diri berarti melihat, mengoreksi diri sendiri secara jujur agar jangan membuat kesalahan yang sama. Merawat solidaritas berarti bagaimana menjaga satu rasa antara sesama, ditengah pandemi ini solidaritas antar sesama sangat dibutuhkan sebab tidak semua orang dan saudara kita merasakan berkecukupan apalagi saudara kita yang terkena imbas covid-19 secara ekonomi. Toleransi berarti saling menghormati dan menghargai antar kelompok, individu atau masyarakat. Sikap Toleransi ini dapat menghindari terjadinya konflik, diskriminasi walaupun banyak terdapat kelompok atau golongan yang berbeda.

Tetap mewawas diri dan menebar kepedulian untuk Indonesia.
